Yes, because my mind is usually too active to focus on one project unless it pulls a little more bearing.

I'm usually more than up to various challenges or requests, so long as people really push for them. I know I have a few that I still want to work on that, once I get a few images printed out, will be finished and passed along.

But, for now...

Main projects:

1) Garfield painting for my grandma, since she's a huge Garfield fanatic. I was going to paint a bigger Garfield on a canvas, then use the smaller canvases I have for a Jon and Odie.

2) Dragon for my uncle... biggest thing is, I haven't decided on what style of dragon. Here's where I take suggestions and advice, and yes -- if you help me, I'll do a little something happy for you as a way of saying thanks Very Happy

3) the "Don't do what I did" comic, as my small pinch of advice. It'll be more extensive than just don't drive into the median of the road or don't buy food that you won't eat. I'm still formulating how the comic will come together... but should be enlightening and fun.

3.5) Something else, but that'll wait for now... I'd rather be it a surprise.

4) Wordless NiGHTS-based comic... yeah, still figuring out style and format. Thought I had it down, but I wasn't happy with the style.

5) Various character art, which would essentially occupy several task-spots on my list, but generally have lower priority.

6) "Crazy Horse and Dove" picture, which is based on "Pigeon and Crazy Horse," a song off one of my favorite contemporary native-american instrumental CD's. Just started the picture last night, but requires a certain inspiration to finish.

7) Various holiday-greeting cards for my family... since I can be pretty bad at correspondence at times.

8 ) Super-special-secret project. That's all I can say for now.

9) about 10,000 other things I have yet to finish... Yue's in there, somewhere. >.< (my d'oh! face.)

I keep coming up with a ton of ideas that just flit about day to day.. it's terrible. I haven't even had much time to sit down and finish one (yep, which means that there are no less than 5 projects sitting around that are waiting for their finishing touches). So, here's my mini-blog as if to inspire.

2 Sundays ago, I started a new picture in spite of my frustration and angst after work that day. It's rather abstract, a style I haven't picked up for a very long time. It started as an excuse or reason to use up the rest of my monotone Koh-i-Noor pens, but.. well, I'm growing fond of the piece.

Day to day, these great ideas for little few-panel comics have been popping up at work. I should write down the ideas as soon as I get them, because they get weak by the time I get home and actually think about it. Soon as I find a certain style I like, I've got a few that I have set in stone that I'll put up onto my (cough, never used) DrunkDuck account.

yeah, yeah... I know, I have no less than a million comics to produce. It's rather pathetic...

My "In Search of Inspiration" comic is left doing just as the title suggests. What I can do with the characters every day fluctuates. At first it started out as a fantasy story with flying shoes and cat-people (otherwise known as Felinoids) and a wanna-be pirate girl... But, the pirate girl is more of an emo girl at times, battling with herself of who she is.. the Felinoids still exist, but the relationships with various characters and the felines is slightly different, and I'm not so sure about the fantasy world idea.
Maybe that's what I'll use the "dream diary" idea I had for.. *strokes chin*

I was going to use the dream diary idea for my wordless comic, but the wordless comic should only be a fairly short, self-contained story.. and wouldn't have a need to break it up into sections.
Good news, though: the wordless comic finally has a cover. Now to just finish coloring it in...

Going to eventually start re-writing my (very old) comic, "Odd."
If not that, then I'm going to finish writing my (very old) story, "The Tragedy of Venus" and produce it into a graphic novel. It needs some tuning up, as the intro is rather bland and lengthy. I want to say that it helps the reader to develop whichever attachments to the various characters, but if I'm questioning myself on it.. then I don't think it's as effective as I thought.

Few strays:
"Eat At Joe's" ..similar idea as my Chemistry lab class picture I put together last year.. but far more detailed and entertaining.
Chuck as a Leprechaun... based off of some random stupidity from work.
Random picture of three different personalities or phases. It was supposed to involve feathers.
"In Spite of..." which is inspired by a friend of mine .. I guess we are no longer friends .. whose art I stumbled across by accident 3 weeks ago. She's gotten much better than she was. I started doodling and then started adding more people who I haven't talked to in very long times. Supposed to be something along the lines of, "In spite of everything, we still remember each other." Not supposed to be a bitter picture, but thoughtful and .. confused, maybe.
Mm.. some character art of Laces and James (the In Search of.. story). James is based off of my muse and his many forms, and seeing that lately my muse has been around me slightly more than he has been in weeks past, it just started to flow and I'm rather happy and solid in a design.
(but you'll get to see more of him in my day-to-day work comic dealie-o when I get that together. Slightly different form, but there are a few resemblances)

Still working on a few other side tasks. Not going to say too too much about that..

Funny how things change.

FINALLY~~~ got some excellent inspiration from my cat for my "In Search of Inspiration" story (though I'm still not sure if I'm sticking with that title exactly). Kinda funny how it went, but I thanked him and started jotting and plotting. I already have an idea as to how it's going to end, all sad-like but with a slight upbeat undertone.... ya know, that bit about going on with life and having to move on from experiences. *trying not to spoil it all..*

Scratching the everyday at work panels. I tried doing that with my former job.. suppose I'll just tuck those memories away in a diary or journal somewhere either written or online. It's too much to keep up with and wouldn't really be much fun unless I took all the time to write it down to have an explanation.. and I'm not sure I'm so willing to elaborate on *all* the stupid things that go on there. We've done some crazy things.. (whether it's using straws as blow-guns to shoot toothpicks at each other, or flinging tomatoes and cucumbers with spoons)..

I've abandoned Odd for now. I was only successful on plotting how I could twist it and make it sad..

Tragedy of Venus, however, I'm thinking about printing out and rehashing altogether. Still needs more research, since I was thinking of taking a more edgy psychological turn with it..

Got some super-nifty comic panel pages which I think I might use for that "Don't do what I did" comic. Might be promising after all.. lately I've been looking in retrospect some of the inanity, depression, and stupidity that happened while I was away.

Main priority: DarkJester's pic. Still working on it, but not getting as far as I'd hoped to be getting the last few days. Finally put my pencil to the paper again and it felt good.

We'll see what happens this weekend...

Wooooo.. I've been blazing away at DJ's picture. Hooray!

Started up a new picture, even though there's one other that I've got to start for my dad. Both of which are going to take eons (or at least several nights without sleep) to really dig into.

I'm excited about the first one, some reason.. it might be the direct result of Coldplay's new album (which I wasn't "not" a listener, but haven't really been too familiar with all of their work) and I say. It's got my creative energy flowing for a story that I started writing back, technically 2003 or so, whenever I was still working at the beach... but continued on with it the summer of 2006 for a creative writing class. The album's been insanely inspiring and I've got some good groundwork on the picture I'm starting.
(in case no one noticed, I like explaining how things came about, even though sometimes it gets so mundane XDD )

Just wish I had the references I need for my dad's picture. I want it to be a notch above everything I've done before.. so it's gonna take time regardless.

Haven't abandoned "In Search Of.." if anything, I think I've been focusing more on character and plot development than I have been drawing. I've got some handy inspiration from one of my coworkers, even if he doesn't know it.
Been learning a bit about myself and the people around me the last few weeks, seeing as life has been cruel when it decides to throw things at me. It's not a bad thing. I just think too much.

May I ask you about the wordless project? Did you upload what you had so far with your first attempt on NiGHTSintoDreams.com?

No, I haven't.
--And part of the idea that inspired my attempt at the story was, in fact, Lynne/TRiPPY's "No More Words" comic.

It's more or less based on my own experience with finding the game at a rough patch in my life, combined with a few fancy ideas I've had for stories and dramatic scenes, etc etc.

At this point, though.. I'm not sure I'm going to make any thorough attempts at picking it back up right now, since my attention is divided with other projects.
